Welcome to Cseqconsult

To achieve the ambitious climate targets, it is also necessary to use CO2 sinks in the biosphere and in the soil. Is the respective potential relevant, how can it be quantified, what about the requirements for verifiability, permanence, leakage, and which measures are effective at all?

The high demand for CO2 offsets harbors the risk that sink potentials are not quantified correctly, criteria are not fully met and system boundaries are not clearly defined. In my professional practice, I am often faced with precisely these problems. I think a sound, non-interest-based scientific evaluation of measures is necessary and offer the following services free of charge to non-profit organizations:

  • Evaluation of compensation projects in the field of soil carbon and agricultural greenhouse gases

  • Assessment of measures based on the use of biochar

  • Model-based simulation of carbon levels in agricultural soils

  • Evaluation of trade-offs in the area of leakage, nitrous oxide, methane

  • Assessment of measures in the field of organic soils / bogs

  • Support in the development of sink projects for carbon in soils

Cseqconsult does not sell any carbon offsets.
